hey skinny

Ahh, I took a nice little mini-break from blogging. I've been posting a lot lately, so when I finished the Sexy List, which I was very proud of, I took a little rest to go to the Mainland with Nicola to see a local band we both really like called Harma White.

They're really rad, very tight and professional sounding. Plus they have a sweet logo: If you like psychedelic music, I'd suggest checking them out, their myspace page is http://myspace.com/harmawhite
When Nicola and I met at the ferry terminal we realized we'd both worn long black jackets and coloured skinny jeans - me in green, her in red. It looked like we'd coordinated our outfits to try to be like Christmas, which would be kind of creepy.
In Greater Vancouver, we got to experience snow, which was nice because we're from the one city in Canada known for not having snow. But after about five minutes of being like "Ooooh, snow! Ooooh, snow!" (well, just me, when I told Nicola it was snowing, she was less-than-pleased), we faced the awful reality that we really weren't dressed for that kind of weather (well, me again, I was wearing a minidress, tights and flats, I just sound like less of an idiot if I say "we" first and then correct myself in brackets).
The show was fantastic and we made some lovely friends.
For some reason, we got VIP treatment on the ferry home, just because we were late. They escorted us through all these secret entrances, I felt like saying "stat" a lot.
And there you have it. An excellent weekend of merriment and great excitement.

I listened to couple of their songs and i have to say they sound very good. Where abouts in canada do you come from? I've never been but I always imagine you sitting in this house on top of this veryvery very high mountain with your house kind of balancing on top, just blogging away about sexy people and skinny jeans. But I suppose if your house was just about to fall of a mountain you'd probably me trying to stop it by putting all your heavy items in the middle of the house or something, rather than blogging. hm.

also, im sorry if that comes across as a horrible racist comment. I'm not sure how it could, but you know, just in case.

I love the logo! It's very sixties like your adorable haircut which I have seen on some other blog because I'm a total stalker.

Also, colored jeans. Old Navy for some reason launched a line of the greatest colored skinnies ever (perfect rise, inseam, and vanity sizing...) and then discontinued it, but I was able to snag every color for lower and lower prices...

I've been wanting colored skinny jeans for a long time now, namely purple or royal blue. But because I am a cheapo, I want them for less than $20 which is a challenge these days.

that is so funny about the Christmas skinny jeans. I've worn the same outfit as my friends before, and it is totally humiliating. haha!
Sounds like a great band.
ps-can you believe about Heath Ledger? And was he seeing MK or something? I figured you'd probably know.

I just hope you don't have the same personality as her - an insufferable cunt intent on ruining her husband's legacy.

And that's just being nice.

Cheerio,
Alex
