I know I don't mention her often, but I'm a huge Fiona Apple fan. Not only is her music fantastic, but her videos always have the most intriguing, editorial, artistic and stunning quality to them. You want to jump inside and join in, even though she looks miserable. I find them inspirational on a number of levels. Enjoy two of my favourites.

Freakishly, I enjoyed last weeks AI performances..but mainly just Jason Castro. Of course, he could have stood on stage and said nothing and I would have cheered him on..but his OVER THE RAINBOW was exceptional.

I've only seen Fiona once when she opened for Coldplay last year. She has a really unique voice, and music videos too!

I'm a Fiona Apple fan as well. There was a time when I needed "Tidal" to get me through. In some ways she knows who I am. "Never is a Promise" or "Sullen Girl" could be my favorites but the entire record is amazing.
I am also a huge fan of hers.

Fiona Apple, certainly an original. How old is this girl now by the way? She holds the record I believe, for the longest album title in music history.

I'm old enough to remember the first coming of Fiona Apple. The Criminal video ruined many a young man.
I absolutely adore Fiona, and am in complete admiration of her lyrical ability. It often borders on spoken word poetry! I always felt that she was articulating something that I didn't know how to just yet (does that make sense?).
Oh, and this is my first time commenting here, but I've visited before and I really like your blog. Look forward to reading more!

something I love about blogging is that you can see a post and it will spark your interest in something, and then you look up that something, and you come to love that something.
I've heard of Fiona Apple a lot, but just never really got around to listening to her music. Then seeing this post made me do it and now I am in awe of her. Gracias!
