well-spoken girls in stilettos aren't something to fear

Dear you: I am seeking your professional counsel. I call you professional because most of you run fashion blogs. I am accompanying my friend to her grad and bought a (in my mind) rad vintage dress. But the question has arose, how to accessorize? What kind of shoes should I buy? Should I put my hair up or down? Jewelry? Makeup? Please help. I'm going for a 60's look.
Thank you!
P.S. My dress is about knee-length.

I think hair up--since the dress seems very bohemian in style. Heels always rock, maybe something like heeled gladiators.

Confession: I'm good at clothes, but kind of terrible at accessories!

You are mad cool. Really. That dress is the shiz. But, seeing as I often dress like a camp counselor on crack, I don't feel fit to give you sound fashion advice. But I do love the dress.

I think pink shoes would be cool. with cat eyes or make-up like edie sedgwicks but I would test run the make-up before to makesure you can do. i'm not really sure about jewerly

Dress is cute - normally I would say hair down with boots and a cute pendant, but that might be a little too casual.

I'm sorry my last post was so sad..hmmm..a graduation? Are you sure the dress couldn't be shorter? Maybe you could twist your hair back, like half up or something.

I would do strappy heels in any of the accent colors of the dress, hair definitely up! Hoop earrings could be perfect and a brighter pink lipstick.

Lovely dress! As the dress is so much I would go for either heels in natural/skintone or gold. An oversized clutch or a small one in one of the colours in the dress. Love the half updoes of the 60s, did you see Lohan in the harper bazaar march issue? Beautiful styling. Oh and a gold bangle around the wrist will do, its the dress that is the focus. Good Luck!!

the dress is super super cool, i'll try and think of something. do you have bangs? i guess i'll just try and take a few photos of what i would wear with it. the post will be out tomorrow.

i think it could be good for matching with a sandals to really show your feet, because the dress is so closed...to contrast...
and a purse, black could be good and not so much acessories...an earing and that´s all...

the hair can be up or not, you decide!
i love the dress, good shop!

a kiss and a hug,
thanks a lot for your amazing support ;)

see you,
Kira

Wedges with wooden heels! For jewelry, a couple of big rings.

This dress is fabulous and so you. Go go boots may be great for shoes. As for make-up I say go bronze or gold eye shadow (if it suits you). If you want to wear heels sparkley tights would be great. The color for them is up to your taste. If you wear your hair up it would look cool with an interesting hair clip. If you keep it down wear a headband. Or would that be too casual? Whatever, your interesting, you'll figure out something amazing.

I think you should wear your hair up and go for maybe a mod 60's look. Modernize with either a pair of black flats or platform heels.

And def. agree with Jess about the cat eye makeup.

I just stumled upon your blog....and I say, Hair down and wavy with jewelled gladiators (they had some cute ones at Aldo) and a very long charm necklace (simple, not too many charms). If you feel daring you might even thrown in some peacock earrings for effect! :)

Chunky/strappy sandals, a long thin silver or gold necklace, maybe a little adornment at the end of it. Hair up, poof it if you can, and maybe a headband? Let us know how it goes!
