No, asshole, maybe I don't know what to expect on The Hills (not that it matters because I won't be watching), but I certainly know what not to expect: individuals with any sort of personality whatsoever.
I am continuously baffled as to how a show can collect so many people who are just so flat-out boring. Have we really reached that point where we can watch and be interested in the silly, superficial lives of silly, superficial people simply because they are blandly attractive? Even the drama is dull and repetitive. It's not that I don't like trashy reality TV...I do! Maybe that's the problem: The Hills is more like "classy" reality TV. There's no broken jaws as the result of some head-butting, or lesbian foursomes in a pool (hollllla, last night's episode of A Shot of Love!). There's just three, four, five, (whatever, they're all pretty much the same personality split a number of ways) stereotypically pretty girls, sitting around, intoning dully, "So, are we going out tonight?"
Have you ever heard one of this people make a witty remark? Something colourful or creative? What if there was a transcript of the show without indicating who said what? Could you even tell? And the worst part?

Not only is there a Facebook group called "lauren conrad is my idol", there are 345 members, including one who said this: "I look up to to Lauren so much not just for fashion, but for everything in my life...Im LITTERALLY her biggest fan I LOVE HERRR =] MY FAVORITE PERSON EVER...!!!!!!!!"

Seriously? Some childish, personality-less, famous-for-nothing, eternal poster child for "self made victim" who I'm presuming you've never met is your "favorite person ever"?
Sometimes I worry for our future...
On a much lighter note, I have my second crush on a 15-year-old this year! After watching the video below, and its predecessor, I'm a little bit in love with Adam G. Sevani.
The whole video is worth watching for some really amazing dancing, but I usually just watch 00:50 to 01:42 over and over, because that has the most Adam Sevani. I just absolutely adore how he dances. When he's walking down the hall and then just casually starts dancing....ooh yes.

i have been wanting to write a post like this, but you totally did it for me. i HATE the hills, it's boring and mindless and my friends have more drama/excitement than those girls.

I can honestly say that I have never watched The Hills. I think the whole thing is a hoax. Also, I don't have cable...so that might be why I've never seen an episode. And anybody who can smoothly transition from a walk to a dance, deserves some credit. Even if they are fifteen.
I watch the Hills and I seriously don't know why any more, it's so incredibly ridiculous, ridiculous I say!
I'm almost embarrassed to admit that I watched half of the first season of The Hills, simply because I worked at Teen Vogue and was apparently on camera. But, it's an absolutely pathetic show. The Hills is such a guilty pleasure of mine. I really should stop watching so much tv.
What a post...I think I just watch the HILLS to make fun of it. They are so 'bought'..so to speak to me. Hard to think of them as 'real'.
Hills est scripted....which may be part of the reason why it sucks so bad. But that's part of it's appeal, I suppose...do not start watching it because it pulls you in like a vortex. not a good vortex. a bad vortex full of fluffyheadedness.

i have never watched the hills, and well, it's just reality tv, which is a stupid thing in itself, but well.
i won't judge it because i've never watched it, and the hills-lovers might lynch me if i judged their show without even knowing it ^^
I watched an episode where they went to Paris..I could think of so many things I'd rather be doing there instead of what they did.
1. I'd be on the look out for Gaspard Ulliel & Louie Garrel at every turn.
I have tried watching it but I think the people are totally mindless and boring. I like Lauren Conrads style lately, but the series are just blah.

I like myself too much to indulge in a inane t.v show where the primary goal is to make the stars rich and famous. Great video though, at least those people have talent..well except for Lindsay.

The Hills is pathetic. When I sick and bedridden I usually watch bad TV. The Hills bored my fevered mind after five minutes. I had watch Top Model instead. Jon and Kate Plus 8 is also a better option than The Hills.
i have never seen the hills, it doesn't get shown on any of the channels i get over here. although i have heard enough about it in blog land to put me off watching it ever! i hate these people who are so stupid and inane and have absolutely nothing going on in their heads. so boring!!!
