a voice like sand and glue, his words of truthful vengeance, they could pin us to the floor

Another post, another reason for you to passionately hate me...
There's no easy way to put this so I'll just come out with it.
I'm going to see Neil Young. Amazing and exciting, I know. The end of my fantastic news? Hardly!
For I also recently acquired tickets to another concert...I can hardly speak his holy name, but a picture's worth a thousand words and this post is kind of runty.

Yes, that's right...Him. I can almost not type the words, for I am not worthy enough, but in a few short weeks, I will be seeing

Bob Dylan

for the second time. Yes, the second time. If you know of someone luckier than I, speak now or forever hold your peace.
What a life I lead! (The only bad news is that my Sly & the Family Stone concert was postponed and then cancelled, but I can live with that) Did I mention my Dylan tickets are third row? Did I mention that it's the day after the Neil Young concert? Did I mention it's Bob Dylan??
Oh, yeah, I did. Just so you don't hate me too much, I'll gift you with these amazing Dylan pictures.

I hate you.
Not really.
But sort of.
I really just sighed...I'm so jealous it hurts. I LOVE NEIL YOUNG. And Bob Dylan is sort of assanine, but I still like him.
Well...some people just live in the light, and you're one of them.
I like when you leave comments, because I know you have a new post up.

I saw Bob in May, hopefully he still has the same band when you see him... in typical Dylan fashion the lyrics were inaudible, the band was a rocking bluesy ensemble, and his presense alone validated getting soaked in Bud Light by awkwardly-dancing baby boomers. Definitely worth it for fans of any stripe. If Neil Young's touring I'm going to scour the earth for tickets... jealous!!!

i saw neil a few years ago, when he was promoting greendale. i'm a big fan of neil but the whole drawn out stagey spectacle wasn't my cup of tea. despite all of the distractions he still rocked.

Harvest is one of my favorite albums of all time.

That's awesome you're going to see Neil Young!

Agree with Juliet. Seeing ONLY Neil Young would be one of the biggest pieces of luck one could have. As I was reading your post, I was wondering - what could come now? What could be even better than seeing Neil Young? (For me, all the other bands worth seeing are already dead, except probably the Stones)
And you're seeing Bob Dylan for the SECOND time already? And you got THIRD ROW tickets? Wow, how many years in advance have you bought them??? I hope you won't be so dead tired after the Neil Young concert that you fall asleep at Bob Dylan ^^... But no, not you... You're experienced ^^ Bob Dylan *shakes head incredulously*

That's so cool. I hope you have a blast at both concerts. I've got an uncle who's a big fan of both of these legends. He's seen them countless times. He always has fun. I'm sure you will too. Enjoy yourself.

I know so many people that would kill to be you right now. My younger brother for one...

That's cool for you!

Can I tell you a secret?
But you have to promise me you'll still love me after it.
(I'm really really really stupid)

so, here goes....
I've always thought Bob Dylan was dead, for, like, years.

Shoot me.

ps : please don't?

When the picture of Bob Dylan appeared, I seriously got goosebumps all over my body (I've still got them while typing this!) And Neil Young too. Wow! Molly, you must have done something really, really good in a past lifetime or something because luck like yours is so rare. But you definitely deserve every bit of it, sweetie!

how does this work? how do you get to see all of this ridiculousness? I must say I'm kind of glad I missed my dylan concert in the Czech Republic because it would have killed my strong sexual feelings for 60's era dylan... kidding. kind of.
