no.
This episode demonstrated everything that's wrong with America's Next Top Model today.
The lack of high fashion, editorial, haute couture has been the most glaring error of this entire season (and most of the more recent seasons). And it all culminated with the horror of having to be in an Enrique Iglesias video.
I must sympathize with these girls. They came on the show, trying to break into the fashion world (foolish of them, of course, because everyone knows that Top Model does not produce top models, but sympathy is still due), and they end up done up dominatrix-style, standing it a sweltering basement, having to listen to an Enrique Iglesias song (and it doesn't matter which one, because they all song the same) over and over. And they have to be enthusiastic about it!
I'm guessing it was supposed to be edgy...hell, they had grime on them, and lots of heavy eye makeup! Totally edgy! And that effect was ruined by the fact that, uh, it was an Enrique Iglesias video. His persona and music is probably the most un-editorial out of the entire industry...did the producers do this on purpose?
There was no photoshoot this week. It's been three weeks since there was, thanks to the clip show last week.
The girls were judged on their performance in the video. If you want to see it, you can watch it here:
[I took the video out because its stupid and silly and I hate having Enrique Iglesias on my blog, especially when the girls aren't even in it. You can see the fraudulent video here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=X86S5oZzzh4 ...if you really want to. And the ANTM version here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Jnk7NIeXUWs ]
EDIT: Whoa, whoa, whoa...I just watched this video, and the Top Model girls are not in it. It's completely different girls! This whole episode is a fraud!! Why am I not surprised? This is too bizarre...I'm gonna see it I can find the video that they are in!

i was trying to watch the video but... it's just not right. those are really the only appropriate words. just weird.
poor top model girls! all they want is their 15 minutes of fame though (in my opinion)
Yes! I agree it's weird and wrong!
hahahaha the Enrique Iglesias quote made me laugh so much
i always find on the X-factor and stuff like that they play his song when people tell their sob stories
That show is just getting more and more ridiculous. I definitely pity the fools that think this show will help them break into the industry--especially now. And Tyra Banks is too good to be true--literally, I don't buy her sticky sweet act.
I don't think I'd go through that to be a top model. I'd go on a roadtrip to every agency in the country to try to get signed instead.
WTF. As if he made them do the video and then not use it. sham. although, the acting was quite bad though. still. and besides, i have never been a fan on enrique. especially once he claimed his mole was removed because it was harmful. um. riiiight.
They should really just stick to doing photoshoots. Then take the final 5 or 6 to another country, do the catwalk and win. The end. They should really stop trying so hard.
belle
the only reason these girls go on this show is coz they might score a free ticket to d-list fame
Christ, your amusingosity makes me wish I was watching this season. Sadly, my workload has decided that it doesn't want me to watch television.
oh i wish this last season can be view here in argentina...

does tyra have no cred anymore in the industry? She can't get these chicks booked for anything good, its all fake and crap. Ugh, I am with you on this eppy, terrible. Go Saleisha!
I loved when Heather got sick and they showed the on site medic taking her past Enrique and his expression was all kinds of 'do not want'.
Hah! Molly, you are hilarious. I agree (as does everyone) that this was just about the lamest epi ever. No fashion, no runway, just Enrique. LAME!!!
I was sad to see Sarah go, but she wasn't one of my faves. I just liked her because she wasn't too thin--but she was screwed because she was neither too fat nor too thin. So sad! hah.
