you used to love it, to ride my broom, honey

I know I've been advising you for over a year to buy your vintage from my friend Nicola (BUY YOUR VINTAGE FROM NICOLA, and while you're at it, add her store on Myspace) but, as you might be aware, there are other places to buy vintage clothes. One such store I feel deserves a mention is Nasty Gal Vintage.

Hmm, catchy name, where did they get it?

Oh, yes, I think I've mentioned a certain Betty Davis before. So, there was obviously an immediate attraction there.
Though her shop is mostly 80's and I'm more of a 60's type of person, I still found items I really liked. Here are some of my favourites:

I'd wear this when I was in a Cory Kennedy mood.
Oh, how my groupie heart weeps for these boots.
Maybe this amazing dress could teach me to slouch as nicely as this model.
Nicola sent me this picture saying it was something the GTO's would wear and she's so right.
I STILL NEED A LEATHER JACKET.
This is Nicola's favourite item.

You can find Nasty Gal Vintage at their official website, or on Myspace.

P.S. Oh, and just for the record, I hate it when people comment me saying "oh, hey, let's link up" and then don't. I rarely use my blogroll, but whenever people ask to link up, I always make an effort to add them, so enough with the empty link invitations.
P.P.S. And if you're going to link me, please get it right. I understand for some of you, "psychedelic" is a tricky word to spell, but there's Ctrl+C for a reason right? (/bitchiness)

Cool post..such amazing clothes.

About the boyscouts..thats a true story that happened not for from here in Little Souix, Iowa. Last week, 4 were killed with a tornado touched down and tore up the place where they thought they were safe.

Thanks for asking.

*Laughs at end bit*

Nasty Gal Vintage is pretty cool and I'm excited because the store might mean that I actually get to buy something (I'm a sixties girl too).

cool clothes, i love vintage. i LOVE the dress in the third picture and the one in the fourth picture too. and... is it possible that i am NOT the only person in the world that doesn't have a leather jacket. what i like about your blog is thatit's not a fashion blog, but when you do post about fashion, you do it with more skill than many fashion bloggers. i saw a dress similar to the one i love today - i just have to persuade my mum to lend me some money ^^

I like your title. And I judge people when they spell Jimi "Jimmy" and Hendrix "Hendrex".

The leather jacket and the boots are really cool. Good luck learning to slouch like the model.

Great pieces. I like Bette Davis...the old, old movie star. ^_^
I've seen "Almost Famous" before, just not straight through. I really liked it. Very dreamy and yet real...

Awwww.

I know people who write "psychology" either like this:

"sychology" OR "cycology"

'Tis quite sad, in deed.

Anyway, awesome post.
Keep at it!

the geometric shirt is so very awesome, I'd probably wear it all the time. I must say, though, that dress looks to be a prime candidate for Daddy Likey's "Dont Show-cha your Cho-cha" contest. The title cracked me up.

I really love vintage though I rarely buy it. There just aren't that many good vintage shops around here. But I'll definitely keep my eyes open when it comes to this site..some lovely pieces there..such a shame that most of their stuff is sold out :(

ps. I don't think I've told you yet how much I love your new header! you always have the best ones, dear!
