more great band names

The Rolling Stones.
As mentioned by J, it's become such a household name, it's wittiness garners little attention.
Finally got to put my sweet Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band picture up.
Big Brother & the Holding Company is a genius name.
Ziggy Stardust & the Spiders from Mars

Here are some bands to check out:

The Crazy World of Arthur Brown (one hit: Fire) Brown was a lunatic who set himself on fire during the performance and did other mad, outrageous things. His song was psychedelic evil.

More evil: "I Put A Spell On You" by Screamin' Jay Hawkins, the soul/blues singer who would rise from a coffin and hold up a skull. Gettin the mojo.

Ziggy Stardust and the Spider From Mars... now that's a name that I'm sure David and his band collectively came up with while planet-hopping on a drug-induced high... LOL.

You got yourself a fine list of groups here girly.

I also noticed your list under your profile. You sound really extraordinary. Besos para ti...

I have a friend who keeps nagging me to think of a good band name for him. Do you have any (not previously used) ones?

Maddy, I will give you the name Volcanic Ash. When I was seventeen that's what we called ourselves, Volcanic Ash, the fine residue of rock and roll.
