swlabr

So, unfortunately my posts will be a little less often than I would like for the next few weeks. Partly because of writer's block, partly because I have to do lots of schoolwork.

However, I do need to let you know about something exciting and important. Most of you know that I'm friends (in real life, imagine that!) with Nicola, who runs the blog Nicola's Vintage Boutique. Well, it's my great pleasure to inform you that Nicola has gone beyond just blogging about amazing vintage fashion. She has begun to sell pieces of her spectacular collection. You can find her fantastic, though still under construction, online store here. She currently has three items up for sale, including these gorgeous dresses:

This vintage dress is even more striking in person.

...as is this one.
So check it out!

P.S. Just while reviewing the Time's performance on Youtube, I noticed they were performing in front of a giant "R" for Rihanna. Wow. The Grammy's really had so little respect for these industry legends. Also, Rihanna may record catchy music but she has no stage presence. Another tip: Don't hold your microphone hand up over your head while you're still supposed to be "singing".

I have to agree with you about Rihanna. ha! Oh and in case you miss it, this was my response to your great comment:

Molly - I worry about this also. It's not like we can just toss innovation and creativity out the window...but at the same time, we have to take a time out and assess what this now means??

I agree completely about Rihanna. I gag a little every time I hear that song "Umbrella".

I kind of really want the first dress and would really be considering right now if it weren't for the self-imposed shopping ban.

you're right about rihanna. her music is catchy, but she has as little stage presence as...say...a...bracelet! okay, don't know how i came up with a bracelet, but if you're trying to convince people you're NOT singing playback, you really shouldn't hold your microphone hand high over your head.

and i absolutely love both dresses that you posted the photos to.

ha, that Rihanna thing made me laugh! What an idiot.

The zigzig stripes of N's dresses are very Missoni!

And everytime I come to your blog there is a new great header, love the colours and tone of this one.

I've sworn off shopping except for essentials, but I wonder if that first dress will factor into my "essentials...?" It's almost the perfect size too, I checked.
