i am not of your world. hold still, baby, i wont do you no harm - i think i'll be good to you

My third tag post in a row, but I've been seeing this one around and secretly hoping someone would tag me for it. Diana to the rescue!

The rules:
With as much creativity as you can muster, show your heart in:
1 picture
1 poem
1 song or piece of music
1 phrase or quote
1 item of clothing
1 place
1 Disney princess

Picture: It took me a long time to figure this one out - and that's true for most of the parts of this fantastically deep tag - but I finally settled on this picture of Funkadelic. It's quirky, interesting, not really funny but not really serious, colourful, retro, there's a Native American headdress and pinstriped pants, and I'm now fiending to relax on that hill. Also, there's some guy climbing a tree.

Poem:
Because I'm not personally that into poetry, I'd rather use the lyrics to a George Clinton & the P-Funk Allstars song called "Because/The Last Time Zone"
The lyrics really are more like spoken word than an actual song, and I've always found this song to be so intensely beautiful. Because the song is pretty obscure, I haven't been able to find a copy of the lyrics on the Internet. Here they are, as best as I can figure them out:

the moon is quiet
and here i exist in the next phase of the final unrest
no one ever filled me in with a clue
but my mind has worked its way
at sunrise
as i awaken
into a deep dream
im free

i can see the break of day coming through my window
feel your body next to mine sends my soul away

now what was next?
was i to lay up and die? or just stalemate
in the next time zone
i slip into some cd screen player with no vision

i thought daybreak was my high
until the day i met you in the crack of dawn

is a brighter day just some old holographic insert?
i see it now that you're not really there

i have always imagined my love for you to be the displacement of my wandering mind

i stroll around in your head
lots of shit that can't be said stopping me
it's just the last time zone

mother terror, you are the world to me
and in time to come, you will discover my love for you

i thought the daybreak, i thought the daybreak
was my high

you are the only place i can put my feet
without you as a base, where can i stand?
somewhere in the last time zone, flash is the motivation
and in the midst of this awakening, i loosen the pus from my eyes to see another day
i thank god for youbut i also apologize on behalf of me and my kind
for disappointing maintenance and painful care of your beauty
for so long, i have yearned to die and again resurrect my head on your breast
my rebirth
mother earth

welcome to the last time zone

Because-The Last Time Zone - George Clinton & the P-Funk Allstars

Song:
I guess it's kind of cheating to have two songs, but the last one was really about this lyrics, and this ones more about the song in it's entirety! It's the first song from the first Funkadelic album: "Mommy, What's a Funkadelic?"

Mommy, Whats a Funkadelic? - Funkadelic
"Let me kiss your mind. Let me slide a yard of tongue down your throat; there's nothing wrong with that - merely a kiss. Or is everyone afraid to say kiss me, baby?"
"Dedicated to the feeling of good - and, baby, I'm good at being good"
"Let me play with your emotions, for nothing is good unless you play with it"
"What's so nasty about funky music? Feels good to me"
"We don't need no words, just feelings"
"I was cool but I had no groove. But now? Fly on, baby. Fly on, cause I got it"

Quote:
"There are only two ways to live. One is as though nothing is a miracle, the other is as if everything is"
-Albert Einstein

Item of clothing:
Tough call but I'll give it to this stunningly beautiful caftan I'm selling on my online vintage store. For one thing, it's my favourite colour (electric blue), it has a fantastic ethnic print and richly colourful designs.

Place:
I really love London, San Francisco and New Mexico, but I guess the place I relate to the most is my hometown: Victoria, BC. Its a fantastic mix of gorgeous natural beauty and exciting city life (I sound like a travel brochure, I know, but I am pathetically in love with Victoria).

Disney princess:
I asked Nicola to help me on this one and she suggested Princess Jasmine. This was obviously thrilling as Jasmine is the most awesome Disney princess of all. According to her Wikipedia page, she is "shown to be brave, intelligent, strong, independent, fiery, and charitable. She can also be quite cunning." I do love the word "cunning". Also Nicola said she could picture me in her outfit, and I could too.

This was the best tag ever.

i can't help it if he be checkin for a platinum type of girl

There are some artists who are absolute geniuses, in the most retarded way possible. I think two of the best examples of this are T-Pain and R.Kelly. And so what do we get when they combine forces?
Photobucket
In the immortal words of T-Pain himself: "Greatness plus greatness equals great greatness."
Couldn't have said it any better myself.

Im A Flirt-RMX (ft. T.I. & T-Pain) - R. Kelly

What can one say about a song the calibar of "I'm A Flirt"?
To call it "brilliant" would be too easy, too cliche. To call it "the best possible song to sing while drunk" would be correct, but too obvious.
I will say that the first time I heard it, I wept. It was such a relief to finally find a song that expressed my deepest inner emotions, really spoke to me and described me so perfect. It was like R. Kelly had been reading into my figurative diary, the journal of my mind, and drew on that to compose this number.

"I swear to tell the truth and the whole truth...when it comes to ho's, I be pimpin' like I supposed to"
That line? Stolen word for word from something I said when trying to explain to a guy why I ditched him at a party for some other dude.*
"So, baby, don't bring your friends to meet me, unless your game is tight and you trust them, don't bring them around me because I'm a flirt"
If I'm actually serious about a guy (pfff, yeah right), I have to give him this warning before he introduces me to his pals. There have been instances in the past. Is his game ever tight? No. Did he trust his friends? Way more than he should've.
"Cuff your bitch, cuz hey: I'm black, handsome, I sing, plus I'm rich"?
I say that to every girl with an attractive boyfriend, and they usually cower in fear and insist on dragging their man out of the premises immediately. If they're smart.
"Now I'ma flirt whether I'm in or out of town, that's why they call me Teddy Bend Her Ass Down"
This is one of the few lines not directly stolen (though gender-reversed) from my life philosophy. I just had to give it a shout-out because it's incredibly cunning, if you got the reference.

I have to tell you, it's a relief to find a song that so thoroughly related to me, instead of simply the little "Play on, playette" at the beginning of "No Diggity". Sure, Mr. Kelly had to reverse the genders to make it applicable to himself (for example, when I pass by, they're all saying "She's so fly, and, yes, she's so coooool")
Anyway, I guess the truth is out. I'm currently not planning on suing, because the song is so goddamn good. Now I know how Roberta Flack feels - R. Kelly's been singin' my life with his words.
Girl, you know just who I am...don't hate!

*Pictures simply estimates of these two guys' appearences.

spit don't make babies

It's been awhile since I added to my Lyrics Hall of Fame (in fact, almost a year and a half). This classic, "No Compute (Spit Don't Make Babies)" by Funkadelic is absolutely irresistable. Basically, any song that employs the phrasing "copping haberdashery" is guaranteed a spot on my list.

Ah, I awakened from a wet dream in which I was restless
My imagination could no longer take me there
So I slid into my copping haberdashery
And gave into the original jones: sex.

Now, my sexy jones was below sea level
The hornies occupied my being
I was at that stage where most men would say,"Hey ho', it's your life or your lay."
But I was cooler than that.
She said, "No compute."

I spotted a lady who was also on the prowl
I could tell by her makeup, plus the scent was there
So I sashayed over to her, and, ah, spoke of my plan
She screamed and said, "Are you asking to make love to me?"
I said, "Is pig what's in pork?
Or you gonna play hard
After all the trouble you went through to get chosen?"
She said, ah, "No compute."

Finally, she said, ah, "I could, ah, probably go for what you're talking about.
But it's really about my birth control pill."
I said, "All looks are not alike, all holes are not a crack.
When in doubt, vamp. Or at least ad-lib.
And of course you know that spit don't make babies."

She smiled, and said, "No compute."
But I could tell that she was getting interested.

So off we went!
There was fun to be had, love to be made.
"Strange", I said to myself after I laid,
Smoking a last joint before I went to sleep
"What a man will go for when the hornies, ah, set in."

Well, suddenly as she laid there, mouth wide open, wig half off, snoring
Breath smelling like a 1948 Buick
I was sick with the filthies, and she smiled in her sleep
As if to say, "All looks are not alike, all holes are not a crack."

who needs the peace corps?

The brilliant, brilliant Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention here on this day are inducted into Ashcan Ranting's Lyrics Hall of Fame for their fantastically hilarious and satirical "Who Needs the Peace Corps?". It mocks people who would come to San Francisco to be phoney stereotypical hippies. Yes, it's littered with allusions that the average person wouldn't understand (Owsley, the Fillmore). But anyone can appreciate its awesomeness.

What's there to live for?
Who needs the peace corps?
Think I'll just DROP OUT
I'll go to Frisco
Buy a wig & sleep
On Owsley's floor
Walked past the wig store
Danced at the Fillmore

I'm completely stoned
I'm hippy & I'm trippy
I'm a gypsy on my own
I'll stay a week & get the crabs &
Take a bus back home
I'm really just a phony
But forgive me
'Cause I'm stoned

Every town must have a place
Where phony hippies meet
Psychedelic dungeons
Popping up on every street
GO TO SAN FRANCISCO . . .

How I love ya, How I love ya
How I love ya, How I love ya Frisco!
How I love ya, How I love ya
How I love ya, How I love ya

Oh, my hair is getting good in the back!

Every town must have a place
Where phony hippies meet
Psychedelic dungeons
Popping up on every street
GO TO SAN FRANCISCO . . .
Hotcha!

First I'll buy some beads
And then perhaps a leather band
To go around my head
Some feathers and bells
And a book of Indian lore
I will ask the Chamber Of Commerce
How to get to Haight Street
And smoke an awful lot of dope
I will wander around barefoot
I will have a psychedelic gleam in my eye at all times
I will love everyone
I will love the police as they kick the shit out of me on the street
I will sleep . . .
I will, I will go to a house
That's, that's what I will do
I will go to a house
Where there's a rock & roll band
'Cause the groups all live together
And I will join a rock & roll band
I will be their road manager
And I will stay there with them
And I will get the crabs
But I won't care
Because . . .

kiss me on my ego!

What kind of soulless person doesn't love funk? The retarded lyrics, the great personality, the bass.
Lately I've been getting into Parliament Funkadelic, pretty much the lords of all things funky and cool. This is one of my favorites "Dr. Funkenstein". You might have heard the Red Hot Chilli Peppers cover, but really, download the original to get the full effect.

Whoa!

They say the bigger the headache, the bigger the pill, baby
Ahh..They call me the big pill
Dr Funkenstein
The disco fiend with the monster sound
The cool ghoul with the bump transplant
Hip bone connected to my thigh bone
My thigh bone connected to my leg bone
My leg bone connected to my ankle bone
I get so hung up on bones
Dr Funkenstein heah
Preoccupied and dedicated
To the preservation of the motion of hips

We love to funk you, Funkenstein
Your funk is the best (talk!)
Take my body, give it the mind
To funk with the rest (kiss me on my ego)
Hit me with the one and then
If you like, hit me again
We love to Funk-a-stein (ohhh, over!)

Dr. Funkenstein, King of the Funk, yeah!
Swift lippin', ego trippin' and body snatchin'
I'll blow your mind
Comin' to you directly from the Mothership
Pulling up the last leg (ah, ah, ah) Of the P.Funk
Well, alright Dr. Funkenstein, yeah
He'll funk with your mind (ooover)

We love to funk you, Funkenstein
Your funk is the best (let me hear it for me)
Take my body, give it the mind To funk with the rest (ha!)
Hit me with the one and then
If you like, hit me again
We love to Funk-a-stein (alright!)

Microbiologically speaking,
When I start churnin', burnin' and turnin'
I'll make your atoms move so fast
Expandin' your molecules
Causing a friction fire
Burnin' you on your neutron
Causing you to scream "Hit me in the proton, BABY!" (I don't know what I'm talking about)

Hit me with the one and then
If you like, hit me again
We love you, Funkenstein (oh yeah, let's do it one more time)
Ohhhh, over! Hoo-wee! (you're really out of sight)

I hope you all got your sunglass on out there
Ho! It's really gonna blow your mind
We love to funk you, Funkenstein
Your funk is the best (talk!)
Take my body, give it the mind
To funk with the rest (kiss me on my ego)
Hit me with the one and then
If you like, hit me again
We love to Funk-a-stein
We love to funk you, Funkenstein
Your funk is the best (over!)
Take my body, give it the mind
To funk with the rest
Hit me with the one and then
If you like, hit me again
We love to Funk-a-stein
Ain't nothing but a party, baby!
Swift lippin', and ego trippin' and body snatchin'

Dr. Funkenstein, you are really out of sight
The bigger the headache, the bigger the pill
They call me the big pill
Hit me with the one and then
If you like, hit me again
We love to, Funk-a-stein (Yeah, hit me one time, one time!)
(Hey man, you make me feel so bad)
We love to funk you, Funkenstein
Your funk is the best (it is so funky around here)
Take my body, give it the mind
To funk with the rest (I'm just funkin' and jumpin')
Hit me with the one and then (ooooover!)
If you like, hit me again
We love to Funk-a-stein (Yeah, we love you Dr. Funkenstein)
We love to funk you, Funkenstein
Your funk is the best
Take my body, give it the mind (yeah, take it!)
To funk with the rest (take it!)
Hit me with the one and then
If you like, hit me again

We love to Funk-a-stein (ooooover!)

marianne faithfull, i will ask you one more time nicely: please possess me

The latest installment of my Greatest Lyrics Ever Hall of Fame is Marianne Faithfull's "Why D'Ya Do It". She didn't actually write these lyrics but they're so badass. I love her.

When I stole a twig from our little nest
And gave it to a bird with nothing in her beak,
I had my balls and my brains put into a vice
And twisted around for a whole fucking week.

Why'd ya do it, she said, why'd you let that trash
Get a hold of your cock, get stoned on my hash?
Why'd ya do it she said, why'd you let her suck your cock?
Oh, do me a favour, don't put me in the dock.

Why'd ya do it, she said, they're mine all your tools,
You just tied me to the mast of the ship of fools.
Why'd ya do it, she said, when you know it makes me sore,
'Cause she had cobwebs up her fanny and I believe in giving to the poor.

Why'd ya do it, she said, why'd you spit on my snatch?
Are we out of love now, is this just a bad patch?
Why'd ya do it, she said, why'd you do what you did ?
You drove my ego to a really bad skid.
Why'd you do it, she said, ain't nothing to laugh,
You just tore all our kisses right in half!

Why'd ya do it, she said, why'd ya do what you did,
Betray my little oyster for such a low bid.
Why'd ya do it, she said, why'd you do what you did?
You drove my ego to a really bad skid.

Why'd ya do it, she screamed, after all we've said
Every time I see your dick I see her cunt in my bed.
The whole room was swirling,
Her lips were still curling.

Why'd ya do it, she said, why'd you do what you did
Why'd ya do it, she said, why'd you do what you did
Why'd ya do it, she said, why'd ya do it, she said,
Why'd you do what you did?

Oh, big grey mother, I love you forever
With your barbed wire pussy and your good and bad weather.
Why'd ya do it, she said, why'd you do what you did ...

Ah, I feel better now

big time

Peter Gabriel...always has amazing videos. And amazing songs. And amazing lyrics.

I'm on my way,
I'm making it
I've got to make it show, yeah
so much larger than life
I'm going to watch it growing

The place where I come from is a small town
they think so small
they use small words-but not me
I'm smarter than that
I worked it out
I've been stretching my mouth
to let those big words come right out
I've had enough, I'm getting out
to the city, the big big city
I'll be a big noise with all the big boys
there's so much stuff I will own
and I will pray to a big god
as I kneel in the big church

big time
I'm on my way-I'm making it
big time big time
I've got to make it show yeah
big time big time
so much larger than life
big time
I'm going to watch it growing
big time

my parties all have big names
and I greet them with the widest smile
tell them how my life is one big adventure
and always they're amazed
when I show them round my house, to my bed
I had it made like a mountain range
with a snow-white pillow for my big fat head
and my heaven will be a big heaven
and I will walk through the front door

big time
I'm on my way-I'm making it
big time big time
I've got to make it show-yeah
big time big time
so much larger than life
I'm going to watch it growing
big time big time
my car is getting bigger
big time
my house is getting bigger
big time
my eyes are getting bigger
big timeand my mouth
big time
my belly is getting bigger
big time
and my bank account
big time
look at my circumstance
big time
and the bulge in my big big big big big big big...

too gorgeous

Mary-Kate and Ashley at some show (I'm so observant) yesterday. I'm digging Ashley's style in this picture more than MK's, actually. More boho. But they're both lovely.

So let's get lyrical again with the inevitable Bob Dylan. My personal favorite Dylan track is "Ballad of a Thin Man". Enjoy...

You walk into the room
With your pencil in your hand
You see somebody naked
And you say, "Who is that man?"
You try so hard
But you don't understand
Just what you'll say
When you get home
Because something is happening here
But you don't know what it is
Do you, Mister Jones?
You raise up your head
And you ask, "Is this where it is?"
And somebody points to you and says"It's his"
And you say, "What's mine?"
And somebody else says, "Where what is?"And you say, "Oh my God
Am I here all alone?"Because something is happening here
But you don't know what it is
Do you, Mister Jones?
You hand in your ticket
And you go watch the geek
Who immediately walks up to you
When he hears you speak
And says, "How does it feel
To be such a freak?"
And you say, "Impossible"
As he hands you a bone
Because something is happening here
But you don't know what it is
Do you, Mister Jones?
You have many contacts
Among the lumberjacks
To get you facts
When someone attacks your imagination
But nobody has any respect
Anyway they already expect you
To just give a check
To tax-deductible charity organizations
You've been with the professors
And they've all liked your looks
With great lawyers you have
Discussed lepers and crooks
You've been through all of
F. Scott Fitzgerald's books
You're very well read
It's well known
Because something is happening here
But you don't know what it is
Do you, Mister Jones?
Well, the sword swallower, he comes up to you
And then he kneels
He crosses himself
And then he clicks his high heels
And without further notice
He asks you how it feels
And he says, "Here is your throat back
Thanks for the loan"
Because something is happening here
But you don't know what it is
Do you, Mister Jones?
Now you see this one-eyed midget
Shouting the word "NOW"
And you say, "For what reason?"
And he says, "How?"
And you say, "What does this mean?"
And he screams back, "You're a cow
Give me some milk
Or else go home"
Because something is happening here
But you don't know what it is
Do you, Mister Jones?
Well, you walk into the room
Like a camel and then you frown
You put your eyes in your pocket
And your nose on the ground
There ought to be a law
Against you comin' around
You should be made
To wear earphones
Because something is happening here
But you don't know what it is
Do you, Mister Jones?

A sword-swallowing clicking his high heels? One-eyed midget asking for milk? Being randomly handed a bone?
Most genius person ever.

youtube is your friend. mick n keef are mine

As usual, Blogger won't let me embed a video so I'll give you the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brpub0hTbjs. It's clips from the Charlie Brown-Peanuts set to Outkast's "Hey Ya". I'm a huge Outkast fan, but even if you aren't, it's pretty clever.

The next, ahem, recipient of the Greatest Lyrics Ever my personal Hall of Fame induction is the incomparable and ridiculously sexable Rolling Stones. This is a funny, bluesy one I've been digging as of late..."The Girl with the Faraway Eyes".

I was driving home early Sunday morning through Bakersfield
Listening to gospel music on the colored radio station
And the preacher said, "You know you always have the Lord by your side"
And I was so pleased to be informed of this that I ran
Twenty red lights in his honor
Thank you Jesus
Thank you Lord

I had an arrangement to meet a girl, and I was kind of late
And I thought by the time I got there she'd be off
She'd be off with the nearest truck driver she could find
Much to my surprise, there she was sittin in the corner
A little bleary, worse for wear and tear
Was a girl with far away eyes

So if you're down on your luck
And you can't harmonize
Find a girl with far away
And if you're downright disgusted
And life ain't worth a dime
Get a girl with far away eyes

Well the preacher kept right on saying that all I had to do was send
Ten dollars to the church of the sacred bleeding heart of Jesus
Located somewhere in Los Angeles, California
And next week they'd say my prayer on the radio
And all my dreams would come true

So I did, the next week, I got a prayer with a girl
Well, you know what kind of eyes she got

So if you're down on your luck
I know you all sympathize
Find a girl with far away eyes
And if you're downright disgusted
And life ain't worth a dime
Get a girl with far away eyes

who doesnt love irony?

Paula Abdul on American Idol judges singers, but I just heard her song "Straight Up" and she can't really sing.
She's such a weak singer so what gives her the right to tell singers if they're good or bad?
Very silly, very silly. Guess the show needed a celebrity and she was the only one they could get.
So Oscar nominations were released this morning and Prince got snubbed, sob sob and all that. I just assumed he was going to get nominated because he won the Golden Globe, but you win some, you lose some, I guess. I had just hoped he would be nominated so he would perform, but I guess I'll have to be satisfied with the Super Bowl.

Anyways to celebrate the snub, Prince is certainly getting a song (if not more in the future) in my Hall of Fame of awesome lyrics. Today's winner: The amazingly sexy and romantic "If I Was Ur Girlfriend" (And by 'girlfriend', he means 'best girl friend', just to clarify)

If I was your girlfriend
Would U remember 2 tell me all the things U forgot
When I was your man?
Hey, when I was your man
If I was your best friend
Would U let me take care of U and do all the things
That only a best friend can
Only best friends can
If I was your girlfriend
If I was your girlfriend
If I was your girlfriend
Would U let me dress U
I mean, help U pick out your clothes
Before we go out
Not that you're helpless
But sometimes, sometimes
Those are the things that bein' in love's about
If I was your one and only friend
Would U run 2 me if somebody hurt U
Even if that somebody was me?
Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be
Please
If I was your girlfriend
If I was your girlfriend
Would U let me wash your hair
Could I make U breakfast sometime
Or then, could we just hang out, I mean
Could we go 2 a movie and cry together
Cuz 2 me baby that would be so fine
If I was your girlfriend
Baby can I dress U
I mean, help U pick out your clothes
Before we go out
(If I was your girlfriend)
Listen girl, I ain't sayin you're helpless
But sometimes, sometimes
Those are the things that bein' in love's about (sugar)
Sugar do U know what I'm saying 2 U this evening? (sugar)
Maybe U think I'm beinga little self-centered (if I was your girlfriend)
But I, I said I want 2 be (sugar)
all of the things U are 2 me (sugar)
Surely, surely U can see (if I was your girlfriend)
Is it really necessary 4 me 2 go out of the roomjust because U wanna undress?
I mean, we don't have 2 make children 2 make love
And then, we don't have 2 make love 2 have an orgasm
Your body's what I'm all about
Can I see U?
I'll show U
Why not?
U can tell me because I'm your friend I'll do it 4 U
Of course I'll undress in front of U!
And when I'm naked, what shall I do?
How can I make U see that it's cool?
Can't U just trust me?
If I was your girlfriend U could
Oh, yeah, I think so
Listen, 4 U naked I would dance a ballet
Would that get U off?
Then tell me what will!
If I was your girlfriend, would U tell me?
Would U let me see U naked then?
Would U let me give U a bath?
Would U let me tickle U so hard U'd laugh and laugh
And would U, would U let me kiss U there
You know down there where it counts
I'll do it so good I swear I'll drink every ounce
And then I'll hold U tight and hold U long
And together we'll stare into silence
And we'll try 2 imagine what it looks like
Yeah, we'll try 2 imagine what, what silence looks likeYeah, we'll try 2 imagine what silence looks like
Yeah, we'll try...

Do some of the lyrics sound vaguely familiar? Because Beyonce, God damn her, jacked some of them for Jay-Z's "02 Bonnie and Clyde"
You know how I feel about her. Grrrr.

"the bewlay brothers"

I'm posting the Best Lyrics Ever (in my opinion). No Ciara, I promise. Starting off with the inimitable David Bowie's "The Bewlay Brothers"

And so the story goes they wore the clothes
They said the thingsto make it seem improbable
The whale of a lie
like they hope it was
And the Goodmen of Tomorrow
Had their feet in the wallow
And their heads of Brawn
were nicer shorn
And how they bought their positions with saccharin andtrust
And the world was asleep
to our latent fuss
Sighing, the swirl through the streets
Like the crust of the sun
The Bewlay Brothers
In our Wings that BarkFlashing teeth of Brass
Standing tall in the dark
Oh, And we were Gone
Hanging out with your Dwarf Men
We were so turned on
By your lack of conclusions
I was Stone and he was Wax
So he could scream, and still relax, unbelievable
And we frightened the small children away
And our talk was oldand dust would flow
Thru our veins and Lo! it was midnight
Back o' the kitchen door
Like the grim faceon the Cathedral floor
And the solid book we wrote
Cannot be found today
And it was Stalking time for the Moonboys
The Bewlay Brothers
With our backs on the arch
In the Devil-may-be-here
But He can't sing about that
Oh, And we were Gone
Real Cool Traders
We were so Turned On
You thought we were Fakers
Now the dress is hung, the ticket pawned
The Factor Max that proved the fact
Is melted down
And woven on the edging of my pillow
Now my Brother lays upon the Rocks
He could be dead, He could be not
He could be You
He's Camelian, Comedian, Corinthian and Caricature
"Shooting-up Pie-in-the-Sky"
The Bewlay Brothers
In the feeble and the Bad
The Bewlay Brothers
In the Blessed and Cold
In the Crutch-hungry Dark
Was where we flayed our Mark
Oh, and we were Gone
Kings of Oblivion
We were so Turned On
In the Mind-Warp Pavilion
Lay me place and bake me Pie
I'm starving for me Gravy
Leave my shoes, and door unlocked
I might just slip away
Just for the Day, Hey!
Please come Away, Hey!

You skipped reading all the lyrics just to look at the picture, right?
You're forgiven.
